Garden Description - We have 1.2 acres turned into garden. Twenty-eight years ago we planted a rhododendron hedge and started a vegetable garden and home orchard. The vegetable garden expanded, and more perennial beds were added, but it took membership in the ARS & children growing up (no more sports events to attend) to encourage us to expand the garden into more parts of the yard. When we decided to install deer fencing, the clearing of all periphery shrubs opened up even more areas to populate with chosen plants. We are planting Rhodies: new hybrids, species, and discovered plants we coveted by visiting other's gardens. Come see, comment, and recommend.
Directions - From rte 128, go west on rte 117, cross RR tracks, go past Drumlin Farm and Mass Audubon headquarters. Turn left onto Lincoln Rd. at end of Drumlin Field. Long Meadow Rd, is first left. Our house is second on the right (#7)
