ARS Chapter Meeting Wednesday, 10/17/07

The ARS Mass Chapter will hold our October meeting on Wednesday, 10/17, 7:30 PM at the Waltham Field Station.  This is one of my favorite meetings of the year, as it is when rhododendron FOLIAGE takes center stage.

 

On tap are the following activities:

·         Foliage Show - bring in your best cuttings to display.  This show has a much simpler format than the spring show.  Winners are determined by popular vote.

·         Cutting Exchange – bring in cuttings to exchange with your fellow members.  Indumented and unusual foliage types are always in demand, but your favorite non-indumented hybrids might be just what someone else is looking for (Janet Blair, Percy Wisemann, Francesca, etc.).  Cuttings can be taken beforehand and kept in the fridge until Wednesday.

·         Wayne Mezitt – our main speaker, will talk about Weston Nurseries: "The Evolution of a Family Business".
