Things Rhododendrons in New Hampshire

Rhododendron State Park located on Route 119W in Fitzwilliam, NH 3447 is named for a 16-acre grove of Rhododendrons, this park is popular with visitors who wish to see these colorful flowers up-close. There is also a wildflower grove that winds through an adjacent forest. Rhododendron State Park is 2,723 acres in total.

This park has a large stand of native Rhododendron maximum. Rhododendron maximum is found in only three other locations in New Hampshire. In total, 7 species of Rhododendron are native to New Hampshire where Rhododendron canadense (Rhodora) is the most common.
